post-partum supplements I take every day
First of all, the foundations are more important than any supplement - so we always start there.
Sunshine every single day possible
Sleep (LOL) you do what you can in this season
Staying hydrated with electrolytes
EATING ENOUGH. This should be #1 let’s be honest. If you’re breastfeeding/pumping/making milk everyday you need to be eating adequate calories. Personally, I aim for 2,500-2,700 daily.
Protein, fats & carbs are all equally important IMO. My goal (not that it’s always executed perfectly) is 3 strong meals a day then I can have snacks and treats that aren’t solely about nutrients.
I also recognize that pregnancy, post partum and breastfeeding can be depleting. I’ve literally spent the last 15ish months sharing my nutrients with this little being and I want both of us to be strong and healthy, so I am very intentional about my targeted supplements i’m taking right now.
This is my daily line up! You might be thinking, hmmm that’s a ton of supplements lol and yeah, you’re right! But they all are serving me in this season of depletion! I want to note that I have had zero hair loss pp and overall, my thyroid & Adrenals seem to be managing well based off of labs. These are both vulnerable during a high stress, low rest seasons.
*Not medical advise, and not saying you need to take all of these! Just sharing my own personal line up.

Morning:
Seeking Health Optimal Prenatal MF - personally I don’t tolerate methylated B vitamins so I opt for the methyl free version
Camu-Camu Supreme Nutrition - High concentrate of whole food vitamin C packed with antioxidants and trace minerals. It’s been found to decrease oxidative stress and inflammation. Can also act as an anti-viral!
Grassfed Blood Ancestral Supplements - Taking this one for blood, Iron and energy support!
Rosita Cod Liver - Did you know Cod liver oil has been found to avoid post partum depression? This is belived to be from the Omega-3 fatty acids. This is also rich in vitamin D & Vitamin A which most of us are lacking. All of these are important for healthy brain function and development.
Evening:
Phospholipid Choline PC Body Bio - Excellent cognitive support, liver support, mitochondrial support and more! Helps boost choline levels which are very important for spine and brain development. (I took all of these throughout my pregnancy too!)
Women’s Probiotic by Dr. Green Mom - found to help reduce GBS in pregnancy and overall have loved this probiotic! I think it’s helped Louie’s gut as well as we have never had any reflux or GI Issues with him.
Magnesium by Mito life - I started taking this religiously during pregnancy leg cramp season, IYKYK and have continued! Great support for hundreds of enzyme functions in the body that rely on magnesium to work properly.
Scuttelaria by Supreme Nutrition - this is anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, anti-candida… I mean the list is long and this is one of the favorite herbs. I definitely notice a difference in my nervous system when I miss this! Helps keep me a bit calmer and more resilient to stress. Also great for warding off viral illnesses and i’ll bump it up if I’m around sick people or feel something coming on.
I also consume a ton of potassium each day! Pickleball electrolytes, coconut water, bananas, etc. I think this might be part of the reason I have a slight oversupply of milk!
**Note there are likely several typos. I’m tired and busy so I’ve accepted that anything I put out won’t be perfect and that’s ok!
